Heidi Fleiss Was Not Surprised by Charlie Sheen's HIV-Positive Status
"Extra" caught up with notorious Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss in Las Vegas, where she shared her thoughts on the news that Charlie Sheen has HIV.
Sheen, once one of Fleiss' famous clients, testified against her in 1995 and admitted that he spent over $50,000 on her prostitutes. She was not surprised to hear the news of Charlie's diagnosis, saying, "A lot more people have it than you realize, and it's not a big deal, but it has this stigma attached and that needs to change — and that's where Charlie's role comes in now."
The former madam revealed she had heard the rumors about Charlie's status years ago. Fleiss believes the illness is not inevitable for someone who chooses to have promiscuous sex. She said, "I know people say 'the risky lifestyle,' but it can happen to people having sex the first time; people don't know. People are gonna say, 'That's what happens with that kind of lifestyle' — that's not true at all."

Despite their past differences, Fleiss still has love for Sheen. "The way Charlie lives his life, I love it, I love Charlie that he pays women and does what he wants to do."
Fleiss wants Charlie to do good for the world now that he has revealed his HIV status, saying, "It's so important for Charlie to show it's no big deal. It's a big opportunity for him to be a leader and raise awareness."
When asked what she would do if she saw him now, she revealed that she wanted to apologize to him for everything that happened between them in the past.
