Mariah Carey Flaunts Expensive Bling from James Packer at Surprise Appearance

Mariah Carey took a moment to chat with "Extra" during a surprise appearance at the Hallmark Network's upfront event last night in Los Angeles.

At the TCA press tour event, the Grammy-winning artist showed off a $500,000 necklace, a gift from billionaire boyfriend James Packer. When asked if James will be able to top that necklace at Christmastime, she responded, “We don't know the answer to these questions, darling!”

Mariah also wore the same yellow diamond heart pendant during an appearance at 1 OAK Nightclub in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Mariah shifted gears from her personal life to her professional life, which includes working on a movie for Hallmark. She shared about the movie, “It's gonna be so festive, it has to be festive it's Christmas! I live for Christmas and it's just so much fun for me to do.”

Instead of singing, Carey is directing the movie. “It's a different thing to be a director and to go in and do something that I'm going to try and give to the people to make people happy at Christmastime. I love to do it with my songs, I love to do it with my albums, so that's what we're trying to do here.”

Mariah just wrapped her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Place, where Katy Perry was recently spotted checking out a performance. “It was really nice. She was great. She was super nice, her and her friends came to the show and it was really cool. I really enjoyed meeting her," Mariah gushed about Katy.
