Cara Delevingne, Jimmy Kimmel, & Other Stars Bash Walter Palmer for Killing Cecil the Lion
"Paper Towns" actress Cara Delevingne, Candice Swanepoel and other celebs are outraged by the killing of famous African lion Cecil, who was hunted by American dentist Walter J. Palmer in Zimbabwe.
Cara slammed Palmer by simply tweeting, “This #WalterPalmer is a poor excuse of a human being!”
Candice couldn't hide her disgust and wrote on Instagram, "How dare you #walterpalmer !!!! As a South African and as a human being I can't express how deeply saddened I am by this, what pleasure do you get out of doing such a thing! Seeing these animals alive in their natural habitat is such a blessing, you have to be so sick to want to kill such a majestic creature of God. You come to Africa with your dollars and euros thinking you can buy power by taking advantage of Africa's poverty and paying people to help you kill an innocent creature. Disgusting! I hope you get what you deserve #walterpalmer 😢."
Ricky Gervais put his focus on the lion, tweeting, "RIP #CecilTheLion I'm struggling to imagine anything more beautiful than this. It's not for food. It's not the shooting, or tin cans would do. It must just be the thrill of killing. Mental."
"Trainwreck" director Judd Apatow added his two cents by writing on Twitter, "There are so many ways to be a f--king idiot in the modern world."
During last night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jimmy broke down while urging people to donate to Wildlife Conversation Unite. "Make a donation to support them. At the very least, maybe we can show the world that not all Americans are like this jackhole."
