'Game of Thrones' Star Maisie Williams Says Jon Snow Is a Goner!
Sorry, Jon Snow fans, his TV half-sister says he's not coming back. Maisie Williams (aka Arya Stark) stopped by Extra's H&M Studio in Times Square where she shot down the rumors of Jon Snow's return to HBO's “Game of Thrones.” “I think people are just trying to be hopeful, but… I mean, you saw him get stabbed… a lot.”
Extra's AJ Calloway suggested the series' infamous White Walkers could sweep in and revive him. Williams shot down that scenario too, saying, “Then he would be a White Walker. Is that what you want?”
Williams revealed she's due to report to the “Thrones” set in two weeks to start filming Season 6. She has not yet seen a script, but expects Arya to continue her struggle to cope with her sudden blindness. “I don't know what's going to happen, where this blindness is going to go,” she said. “Hopefully it's a positive outcome, but as we know, 'Game of Thrones,' takes a lot of twists and turns.”
When asked if she ever worries about her character's fate on the show, Maisie admitted she's resorted to schmoozing producers just to keep Arya alive. “I try and just be nice and hope that they don't kill me, but we never really know... so I just stay quiet, and smile, and bring them coffees.”
The 18-year-old actress was in New York City to host the Always #LikeAGirl Unstoppable Confidence Summit. The summit was an extension of the #LikeAGirl Unstoppable campaign designed to boost confidence in young women. Williams hopes the campaign will inspire girls to “believe in themselves a lot more,” and “to be unstoppable.” Arya would be proud.
