Katherine Heigl on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Rumors, Singing in ‘Jackie & Ryan’
The gossip that Katherine Heigl would be returning to “Grey's Anatomy” had Seattle Grace fans going crazy. The actress sat down with “Extra's” Terri Seymour to set the record straight.
“I haven't been asked, and I think they're on their own path and I am as well,” Katherine told Terri.
She did weigh in on “Grey's” future after Patrick Dempsey's McDreamy character was killed off this season. “I think it's hard to even imagine it without McDreamy, but I think there are still more stories for them to tell,” she said. “I hope it goes as long as they all want it to, because it was an incredible experience and it changed the course of my life.”
The actress' life has changed since exiting the hit ABC show, and the end of NBC's “State of Affairs.” She is now focused on her new film, "Jackie & Ryan.”
Katherine plays a woman on a journey to find her voice again in the new film, co-starring Ben Barnes. It also marks the first time Katherine sings onscreen, but she confessed she had a little help from her husband, singer Josh Kelly.
“Because of Josh, I felt that he could help me and give me some tips,” Katherine revealed. “I don't have a Mariah Carey-singing voice. I can't hit every note, but… I got some moves.”
Don't miss “Jackie & Ryan” in select theaters July 3.
