Celebs Celebrate Nintendo’s Splatoon Launch by Making a Big Mess!
Nintendo fans were at Santa Monica Pier on May 15 in celebration of their newest Wii U game, Splatoon, which launches May 29.
Nintendo brought the multi-player action game to life by building a massive, ink-filled obstacle course inspired by the game. Celebrities like “X-Men's” actor James Marsden along with his 8-year-old daughter Mary, “Hunger Games” actress Willow Shields and “Modern Family's” Nolan Gould ran through and were splattered with colorful ink. Things got messy! Take a look!
In the game, players take on the role of Inklings, customizable characters who can transform into squids at the touch of a button. After splatting opponents and covering a level with colorful ink, players can transform into squids and swim quickly through their own ink or use it to take cover and hide from enemies.
