Actor Ving Rhames Volunteers to Make Sure Communities Are Safe and Secure
“Mission Impossible 5” actor Ving Rhames joined ADT members and thousands of volunteers to kick off this year's ADT “Always Cares Annual Week” of service in Los Angeles, partnering with A Place Called Home (APCH), an organization which provides underprivileged young people with educational support, counseling, mentorship programs and college scholarships.
Ving, who is also starring in the security system's recent ad campaign, teamed up with volunteers to make APCH and the surrounding community a better environment. They freshened up the facilities to create a welcoming space, tending to two gardens that bring peace and serenity to the community, prepared the APCH annex for a major makeover to help better serve more members, and beautified the surrounding streets and parks.
Whether I'm home or away, feeling safe and secure in my surroundings are things I would never compromise,” said Ving. “Those same feelings should be experienced by everyone, so I'm honored to be part of the ADT Always Cares Week of Service and hope the work we're doing inspires members of the community to pay it forward.”
