Report: Tori Spelling Rushed to Hospital with Severe Burn, Undergoes Skin Graft
Poor Tori Spelling is reportedly on the mend after suffering a severe burn on Easter Sunday.
DailyMail.com broke the story, reporting that Tori had just finished Easter brunch with her family at Benihana's in Encino, and when she got up to leave, she tripped and fell on to a hot grill, burning her arm.
An onlooker told the site that “she got up to leave and tripped, falling backwards on to a scorching hot grill. She shouted out in pain from a large burn on the back of her right arm.”
The source continued, “You could tell she was hurting, but she was trying to put on a brave face for the sake of her four young children who were quite obviously worried. Dean looked upset too, but you could tell they were doing their best to stay calm and not alarm the children.”
Spelling tried to treat the injury at home, but opted to see a doctor when the pain worsened. The doctor immediately sent her for treatment at Grossman Burn Center in West Hills, CA.
A source said, “Tori's doctors determined she had a severe burn and suggested they remove the damaged skin and graft skin from another area of the body. She questioned if it was absolutely necessary, but doctors said she risked severe infection and scarring if she didn't act right away.”
“She underwent a skin graft last week and must now spend several days recuperating,” the insider said.
Tori mentioned the burn in an Instagram post, but didn't elaborate on how severe it was. She wrote, "Thanks for an amazing day @scoutmasterson and @thebillhorn Perfect #Easter Sunday! Aside from the Benihana Burn!"
