'The Love Boat' Cast Reunites… On a Cruise Ship!
It was a “Love Boat” reunion on the Regal Princess cruise ship in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on Wednesday!
The cast and 25 of the show's guest stars gathered for a “Love Boat”-themed party celebrating Princess Cruises' 50th anniversary and the series' role in the cruise line's decades-long history.
All six “Love Boat” stars; Gavin MacLeod (Captain Stubing), Fred Grandy (Gopher, the chief purser), Ted Lange (Isaac, the bartender), Bernie Kopell (Doc, the ship's doctor), Lauren Tewes (cruise director, Julie) and Jill Whelan (Vicki, the captain's daughter), pulled a lever that sent a record-breaking fifty champagne bottles smashing against the ship's hull as a nod to the company's anniversary celebration, followed by the breaking of a giant Nebuchadnezzar-size 51st bottle, signifying Princess Cruises' continued success.
