Countdown to George Clooney’s Wedding: New Details About the Big Event!
Actor George Clooney and his gorgeous fiancée Amal Alamuddin are set to exchange vows in Venice, Italy.
Clooney confirmed the location last week when he accepted the Andrea Bocelli Humanitarian Award in Florence, Italy, saying the two would be married in a “couple of weeks.”
UsWeekly reports the wedding date is Saturday, September 27, although there are numerous reports in Italy that say it is set for September 29 at Cipriani Hotel.
The magazine also says Alamuddin's family is footing the entire wedding bill. An insider said after the couple's engagement that the Lebanon-born beauty's mom and dad were "old-fashioned when it comes to these things." Gossip Cop, however, debunked the rumor, with an insider telling the site it is “simply not the case.”
There will also be plenty of tequila on hand for the celebration!
TMZ has video of Clooney's good friend Randy Gerber, husband of Cindy Crawford, boarding a private jet to Italy with at least 50 cases of Casamigos tequila, the company owned by Clooney and Gerber.
