Jimmy Fallon’s Advice to Seth Meyers: ‘Be Patient’
“Extra’s” Hilaria Baldwin caught up with funnyman Seth Meyers before his big debut as host of “Late Night” on Monday.
Meyers said new “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon gave him some good advice. “Best tip he gave me… to be patient. The idea is you do these shows for a long time, so you want to get into them and not get too nervous about how the first few go, because the idea is to do hundreds and hundreds. That’s been good advice going into it.”
Seth added, “At this point, you want to start doing it so you can start making mistakes that you’re inevitably going to make.”
The former “Saturday Night Live” head writer also revealed his dream guest is Russian President Vladimir Putin. “I think it would be great to get him after the Olympics. He seems fun,” joking, “He said he’ll do the show shirtless and hopefully bring a horse and/or a bear.”
Meyers' former “SNL” castmate Amy Poehler and Vice President Joe Biden will be his first guests when “Late Night with Seth Meyers” airs tonight at 12:35AM on NBC!
