Bruce Willis Offers Heartfelt Thanks to Firefighters in Beaver Creek, Idaho
Firefighters in Beaver Creek, Idaho have a big fan cheering them on… Bruce Willis.
The action star stepped in to help the crews last Friday by providing lunch and dinner for the more than 400 firefighters battling the blaze.
The fire, which burned more than 100,000 acres of Idaho terrain, is now 93 percent contained, according to KMVT-TV.
As the brave men and women are beginning to be relocated to other scorchers, Willis is still making sure they have nourishment like fresh fruit, cookies and snack bars.
Bruce, who has a home nearby, released a word of thanks to the firefighters, saying, "Like all of my fellow Idaho residents, I want to extend my most sincere and grateful thanks to the firefighters and first-responders which include the helicopter and airplane pilots who have been flying for day in and day out, who risked life and limb to battle the horrific Beaver Creek Fire in Idaho.”
He continued, “You are the men and women who put your lives at risk to protect ours on a daily basis, but it is at moments like these that your heroism comes to the forefront of our nation's consciousness. On behalf of me and my family, please know that there will never be enough words to express our deepest appreciation for your ever-present dedication and bravery."
The crews showed Bruce some love, too, dedicating a fountain in his honor. Check it out below!
