Will Smith: I Will Always Be There for Justin Bieber
Actor Will Smith is a big Justin Bieber supporter and says he will always be there for the teen superstar.
“Extra” special correspondent, HOT 97’s Angie Martinez, caught up with Will and wife Jada Pinkett Smith at the “Free Angela and All Political Prisoners” premiere. Will told Angie, “We think it is hugely important to support young artists, there is a war against that kind of artistry, that kind of creation.”
He added, “When somebody is 19 years old, they are going to do what they are going to do just like we did. For me, the most important thing was for him to know anytime he can call and I'll come, whatever happens.”
Smith, whose son Jaden is friends with Justin, believes that kids need to know there is somewhere they can turn to “find safety.”
Jada, a mother of two, made headlines last month by defending young stars like Justin, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift -- who find themselves in the headlines. She posted an essay on Facebook titled, “Are We Bullying Our Young Artists?”
