'Dancing with the Stars' Shocker: Which Celebrity Went Home?

Dorothy Hamill shocked “Dancing with the Stars” fans on Tuesday when she voluntarily dropped out of the competition!

There was no elimination, because the Olympic figure skater, paired with pro Tristan MacManus, regretfully bowed out due to a recommendation by her spine surgeon.

"I've taken the advice from my spine surgeon and I need to withdraw from the competition," Dorothy announced. "It could be irreparable nerve damage and it would be completely unfair for me to stay in this and have any of these people go home. I can't do what I need to. The rest of life... is important. ... It's not that I don't want to be here. I wish I could give it my all, but I can't!"

Holding back tears she continued, "It's been a wonderful ride. I wish I could stay but I can't do justice to the commitment. ... It's the most incredible place to be. I'm so lucky to be part of it."

Hamill, who also suffered from a hurt ankle this season, and partner MacManus came in last place Monday night after performing a sock hop style “Chantilly Lace” jive. Watch!
