'The X Factor' Top 8 Finalists Invade The Grove
Just three weeks until “The X Factor” awards its $5-million prize to the winner, the eight remaining contestants joined “Extra” and “The X Factor” host Mario Lopez at The Grove to dish on what life has been like as a contestant.
Boy band Emblem3 told Mario their Thanksgiving was special. Drew explained, “It was actually the best Thanksgiving of my life. We weren't just stuffing our faces, we were, for real, giving thanks.” Guy added, “Drew's dad, like, gave a speech, started crying, everyone was in tears.”
Finalist Vino Alan said the best thing about the whole “X Factor” experience has been “getting to hang with Mario Lopez!”
Tate Stevens said the best thing for him was when mentor Simon Cowell singled out Tate. “The winner of this show is going to get $5 million, and I'd be happy to write you that check!” Tate laughed, “I just really wanted to lean down and say that’s T-A-T-E.”
Singer Diamond White also had a great Simon moment. "One of the best critiques I've gotten has just been in my last performance,” when Cowell told her, “‘I believed every single word of that lyric.’” Diamond gushed, “And that made my heart melt.”
