Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Wed in Secret Ceremony
Actor Ryan Reynolds and girlfriend Blake Lively said, “I do” on Sunday in a secret wedding ceremony. A source confirmed the news to People.
The surprise nuptials took place at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. near Charleston, which is the same place "The Notebook" was filmed in 2004. After the couple walked down the aisle, guests gathered in a white tent at the plantation.
A team from Martha Stewart Weddings worked with Lively and Reynolds and planner Tara Guérard of Soiree in Charleston, S.C, to create an "intimate, personalized party" for immediate and extended family "in a rustic barn," according to People.
Lively wore a Marchesa couture bridal ball gown with a hand-draped silk tulle bodice adorned with crystal and rose gold embroidery.
Florence Welch, of Florence and the Machine, performed for the crowd before a deejay started spinning. A cake from Virginia was also delivered to the wedding site, reports People.
Ryan, 35, and Blake, 25, met on the set of “Green Lantern” and have been living together in a house they purchased in Bedford, NY earlier this year.
Reynolds was previously wed to Scarlett Johansson, but the couple split in 2010. This is Blake's first marriage.
