Did Michelle Obama Spend $50K on Lingerie?
The White House is denying rumors that First Lady Michelle Obama spent a whopping $50K at a lingerie store last year.
Kristina Schake, Communications Director for the First Lady, slammed the reports, saying, "This story is 100-percent false."
According to various UK tabloids, the First Lady was the reason why the boutique, Agent Provocateur, saw a 12% hike in sales last year. The reports claimed Mrs. Obama was joined by the Queen of Qatar -- and that the high-profile ladies shut down the store's Manhattan location for their undergarment shopping spree.
Political and business insiders suspect the brand used a false story about the First Lady shopping at their store as a way to boost sales, according to the NY Daily News.
