Howard Stern Joins 'America's Got Talent'
Howard Stern has signed a deal to join "America's Got Talent" as a judge, the radio bad boy announced on his Sirius XM Radio show on Thursday. He replaces CNN host Piers Morgan.
The show, currently filmed in Los Angeles, will move across country to NYC. Stern, who spoke with "Extra's" Maria Menounos, said he plans to bring his wife on the road with him. "Beth will be traveling with me on some of the trips."
Stern's meeting with producers went well -- he lectured them for an hour on how he'd change the show. When asked if he got everything he wanted, Howard laughed, "Uh, with Beth I got everything I wanted!"
Stern will join "AGT's" Las Vegas boot camp week, and will travel around the country. Howard also plans to call out stage moms and nix the "goofy acts."
The show took to its Twitter account, breaking the big news: "It's official -- Howard just signed on the dotted line -- he is now the newest judge on America's Got Talent!"
Piers Morgan tweeted, "Congrats to Howard Stern on landing my America's Got Talent judging gig -- he'll be outrageous, hilarious, dangerous & brilliant. Can't wait."
The show starts shooting in February and will hit St. Louis, Las Vegas and Austin.
