Letterman Jokes about Death Threats and People Who 'Hate' Him
In his first show since receiving death threats from an online jihadist, "Late Show" host David Letterman responded in his own comedic way.
"I wish I had a nickel for every time a guy has threatened to cut my tongue out," Letterman quipped.

He then presented a list of people "who hate me," including al-Qaida; Sarah Palin; Donald Trump; Jay Leno; the Late Show staff, crew and home audience; Canadians; NBC; CBS; his neighbors; Tony Danza; dogs and cats.
There were reports security had been beefed up at the "Late Show's" home at the Ed Sullivan Theater.
Letterman was targeted last week by a frequent online commenter who called on Muslims to kill the late-night talk show host for making a slashing motion across his neck while discussing the death of senior al-Qaida member Ilyas Kashmiri.
