Andy Serkis Shares Tidbits on 'The Hobbit'
Actor Andy Serkis, best known for embodying such CGI characters as King Kong, and Gollum from the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, adds a new one to his list: starring as Caesar the chimpanzee in the upcoming "Rise of the Planet of the Apes."
At the Los Angeles premiere of "Apes," Serkis talked with "Extra" about bringing his CGI characters to life, and about reprising his role as Gollum in the highly anticipated "The Hobbit." "We've been shooting for 60 days, and we have about 200 more to go. I've actually finished all my scenes as Gollum and now I'm directing second unit. I'm having a ball."
