Caught on Tape! David Letterman's Theater Trashed
Jimmy Whittemore, a 22-year-old aspiring actor, broke into the famed Ed Sullivan Theater where David Letterman's "Late Show" tapes, and caused and caused $5,000 worth of damage early Sunday morning.

Whittemore was reportedly intoxicated when police arrived to arrest him for kicking in the theater's glass doors, trashing the box office and lobby, and turning over garbage cans. He also allegedly trashed pictures, telephones and printers, among other property.
The Letterman stage was locked at the time, so it was spared being damaged, but that didn't stop Letterman from capitalizing on the situation by coming up with a hilarious top 10 list on Monday night.
Whittemore was hospitalized cut on his head following his arrest. He was arraigned Monday and charged with burglary in the third degree and criminal mischief in the second degree, TMZ reports. He is being held on $6,000 bond. His next court date is July 15.
