Video! Jon Cryer Talks Sheen Madness with Letterman
"Two and a Half Men" star Jon Cryer appeared on the "Late Show with David Letterman" -- and talked about co-star Charlie Sheen's public meltdown.
Cryer started by saying, "I love him, he's a great friend, "to which Letterman replied, "He called you names, he called you a troll." Cryer replied, "Yes -- as friends do!"

Cryer said they had no warning Sheen was close to the edge. "Nobody was prepared for this, I didn't see it coming, no one did. None of us wanted to continue with the show if we felt it was hurting him, and there was a point when everyone felt like... there was no control here."
Still, Cryer wants only the best for Charlie. "I want him to get healthy. I want him to stay sober, I want him to be reunited with his family. That would be the best thing."
As for Sheen's replacement, Ashton Kutcher, Cryer told a funny story about when they traveled on the network's private jet. As they boarded, Cryer said Kutcher told him, "You know what I love about private jets? You can bring knives on board!"
Letterman replied, "There you go... chapter two: he's crazy like the first guy!"
