'DWTS' Judge Carrie Ann Inaba's State of 'Grace'
"Dancing with the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba is venturing into TV drama with a new ABC pilot called "Grace."
"I'm executive producing," Inaba explained to "Extra" after the "DWTS" Season 12 premiere. "We hired Eric Roberts to be our lead. We have Debbie Allen, and we have an amazing cast. It's sort of riding on the coattails of 'DWTS' and everybody loves dance. I thought it's time for a drama that includes dance, so we're working on it. It's a long way until it goes to series, but if it goes to series, you'll be seeing it soon. It's amazing, it's my love it's my passion. It's time to bring dance on another level!"
As for this "Dancing" season of hopefuls, Inaba is very excited. "Kirstie Alley and Ralph Macchio, they blew me away. I didn't expect Ralph Macchio to have such grace out there. "Psycho Mike" added a curiosity factor. I was kind of confused by his dance, but I'm impressed with the men this year. I think we have very charismatic men and they're not afraid to go for it, which I really love. I love it so far, I'm excited."
"Dancing with the Stars" returns Monday, March 28, with the first results show airing Tuesday, March 29, on ABC.
