The 2011 Oscar Highlights and Big Winners
The stars arrived to the 83rd Annual Academy Awards at the Kodak Theatre to celebrate the year's most talented and Oscar-worthy actors and films.
Natalie Portman and Colin Firth were the two big winners of the evening. Portman won for her role in "Black Swan," while Colin took home his first Oscar for "The King's Speech," which also won Best Picture.
Christian Bale beat out Geoffery Rush and John Hawkes for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in "The Fighter." Melissa Leo had an accidental slip of the tongue in her acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actress for "The Fighter."
Entertaining hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway made sure to emphasize their acting chops in their opening performance and placed themselves in scenes from the Best Picture nominees via "Inception"-like dreams. Oscar legend Billy Crystal also made a surprise appearance.
