Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp appeared in New York Monday night for the premiere of their new film "The Tourist" -- and "Extra's" AJ Calloway was there to catch all the red carpet action.
Jolie walked the carpet in a low-cut, ivory Versace gown with Brad Pitt by her side, and talked about the challenges she faced while making this film.
"I found it a big challenge to play somebody that was extremely European, elegant, pink with little bows and things that were very foreign to me," the actress told the APTN. "I'd never played a lady really before."
Co-starring with heartthrob Johnny Depp, Jolie revealed that the A-list pair had never met before shooting "The Tourist." "We both liked each other's movies, but had never met. And we met and talked about kids for the first hour, and France for the second."
The Oscar winner said that she and Depp also shared plenty of laughs on set. "I pretty much guessed from the films that he'd done that he was somebody that was up for a laugh and a good time," Angie said. "We kind of both went into it knowing we wouldn't take ourselves so seriously and we would have a laugh."
Johnny had only wonderful things to say about his co-star as well, telling AJ, "She's a great girl, great mommy."
The "Tourist" arrives in theaters Friday, December 10.
