Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo Are Engaged
Former 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey has popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, "True Beauty" host Vanessa Minnillo.
"We're excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together," the couple told Us Weekly.
Finding their way through a brief split last summer, Nick and Vanessa began their romance in 2006, following his highly publicized reality TV marriage and subsequent divorce from Jessica Simpson.
Minnillo said she believes their relationship has lasted this long because they openly communicate. "You have to talk through everything," she recently said during an interview with Parade magazine. "We talk daily about things that upset us. It's about having a sounding board, because if you hold in all your thoughts, dreams, anger and anxiety then you're only hurting yourself."
