FOX Stars Dish on Rumored 'Idol' Judges
"Extra" caught up with the stars of FOX TV at the Television Critics Association after-party Monday night to talk about the rumor that Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are joining "American Idol" as judges.
"I would love to watch just to see what Steven Tyler would have to say," "Glee" star Matthew Morrison said, adding about Jennifer Lopez, "I think she would add a lot of warmth to the show."
"Bones" star Emily Deschanel thinks La Lopez "would be amazing," but admitted she liked the old panel of judges, too. "They had something going that worked," she said.
"So You Think You Can Dance" judge Mia Michaels concurred. "I loved 'Idol' the way it was." Still, she's happy for her "SYTCD" cohort, Nigel Lythgoe, who is headed back to "Idol" as a producer and will be splitting his time between both competition shows.
For now, FOX and "Idol" are keeping quiet about any decisions, with an announcement likely before auditions are taped in September.
