Report: Kara DioGuardi Booted from 'American Idol'
It seems the "Idol" panel is in for a reboot. "America Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi has been fired from the FOX series, reports TMZ.
DioGuardi, who joined the show is 2008, was reportedly given the ax on Thursday, the same day Ellen DeGeneres announced she was leaving the show after just one season.
TMZ reports that "Idol" is returning to a three-judge format. Once all deals are finalized, the panel will feature Randy Jackson, with rumored replacements Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
It's a possibility that Kara could stay, but only if J-Lo's deal falls apart, although sources say the singer's contract is a done deal.
