Chris Brown Denied Entry Into UK
Singer Chris Brown won't be hobnobbing with the Brits any time soon. He was scheduled for three performances in the U.K. but was denied entry into the country because of his criminal past.
Britain's Home Office released a statement saying, "We reserve the right to refuse entry to the U.K. to anyone guilty of a serious criminal offense."
After being rejected from the country, Brown later tweeted, "SORRY to all the fans in Europe!!! My tour is cancelled. I'm pretty sure y'all know. My entry was denied in your country. I love you. SORRY!!"
The tweet has since been removed and his publicist claims that the singer was denied because of "issues surrounding his work visa."
Chris Brown pled guilty in 2009 to felony assault for beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna. He was formally sentenced to five years probation and 180 days of community labor.
