'Idol' Knocks Another Out of Competition
Aaron Kelly's days on "American Idol" are over.
The cute 17-year-old high school student gave it his best try, but his tepid version of "Fly Me to the Moon" on Tuesday's Sinatra night put him squarely in last place.
Despite some excellent mentoring from Sinatra expert Harry Connick Jr., other contestants had difficultly crooning Old Blue Eyes tunes as well, including Crystal Bowersox and Casey James.
But once again, Michael "Big Mike" Lynche found himself in the bottom two with Kelly, even though he got high praise for his rendition of "The Way You Look Tonight."
When Kelly got the bad news, he looked shaken, but Lynche whispered something in his ear, and the young singer pulled it together to sing his final performance.
The big attraction of Wednesday's results show was an appearance by Lady Gaga, who brought along a piano for her performance of "Alejandro."
