Roger Federer: Tiger Will Rebound from Scandal
Tennis star Roger Federer doesn't think Tiger Woods' mistress scandal will end his golf career.
Federer, who has spoken to Tiger by phone since the infidelity scandal broke, tells French sports daily L'Equipe that he stands by his fellow athlete and friend, as reported by AP.
"Tiger needs calm," Federer says. "And soon he'll become the wonderful golfer that we know again."
During his conversations with Tiger, Roger says he's expressed "support" for the golfer through this difficult time.
Woods has been out of the public eye for nearly 50 days. Earlier this week, hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons suggested that while in hiding, the star was sending aid to Haiti.
