Marissa Jaret Winokur: 'I Think I'm Poisoning My Son'
Marissa Jaret Winokur needs a drastic lifestyle overhaul -- not only for herself but also for her 16-month-old son, Zev.
Winokur, 36, is on a mission to lose 20 pounds at the Biggest Loser Resort in Utah, and in her video diary to "Extra," Winokur admits that she's not just shedding pounds for herself.
"I realize I think I'm poisoning my son," Winokur confesses. "I know that sounds very drastic, but I think I feed my son all the wrong foods and I feel like a horrible mom, and I feel like I really need to go home and make him the right food."
The former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant realizes that the struggle to teach kids proper nutritional habits is one she shares with fellow mothers -- but a habit she needs to kick.
"I'm sure every mom out there understands -- he likes mac n' cheese and he likes hotdogs," Winokur says of feeding Zev, adding that she contacted her husband Judah Miller and "said that we have got to get on track, and really refocus what we're feeding Zev ... because it is so not okay."
An emotional Winokur concludes, "I'm really glad I'm here. I'm really tired, but I feel like this is going to change not only my life, but it has to change my son's because he's too young, and it's not fair."
