First Dancers Booted on 'DWTS'
Macy Gray and Ashley Hamilton are the first dancers to be sent packing on season nine of "Dancing with the Stars."
Hamilton, who performed Monday night with his partner Edyta Śliwińska, failed to impress the judging panel -- and viewers -- with his foxtrot and Salsa relay dance. Ashley and Edyta finished Monday with a score of 15.
Macy also scored 15 for her dances on Tuesday with professional partner Jonathan Roberts. The dancing duo attempted a Viennese Waltz to "Natural Woman," but Gray's awkward moves prompted Bruno to compare the singer to a child learning to take her first steps.
The show also featured a touching tribute to dancer Patrick Swayze, who died September 14. The tribute featured pictures and clips of Swayze in various films, and was topped off by the show's professional dancers recreating famous scenes from Swayze's hit "Dirty Dancing." Patrick was a guest mentor on the first season of "Dancing" in 2005.
"Dancing with the Stars" returns Monday on ABC.
