Jenkins Wanted in Death of Jasmine
An arrest warrant has been issued and charges have been filed for reality star Ryan Jenkins in the murder of his wife, swimsuit model Jasmine Fiore.
Jenkins, 32, has been charged with one felony count of murder and faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison if convicted. A $10 million warrant has been issued for Jenkins' arrest.
Jenkins was a contestant on VH1's "Megan Wants a Millionaire." The show's production company released a statement saying, "51Minds was not aware of Ryan Jenkins' record when it cast him." The statement added, "If the company had been given a full picture of his background, he would never have been allowed on the show."
Jenkins has reportedly evaded apprehension and slipped into Canada. Reports suggest he could next be headed to Honduras.
Fiore's body was found over the weekend in a trash bin in Buena Park. The Orange County DA Office says the victim had been badly beaten, all of her fingers had been cut off, and all of her teeth had been forcibly removed.
Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas released a statement saying, "Mr. Jenkins is considered dangerous, possibly armed, and has the financial means to hide anywhere in the world. Anyone helping Mr. Jenkins hide from the police may go to prison themselves. Mr. Jenkins should do the right thing and turn himself in before he gets himself into further trouble."
