Redmond O'Neal Released Briefly to See Farrah
Redmond O'Neal is being held in jail on a drug arrest with a court hearing pending for this week, but he was allowed a pass for a three-hour visit this weekend with his ailing mother, Farrah Fawcett.
Redmond, who is awaiting trial on charges of felony drug possession, was allowed a brief visit with Fawcett, 62, who is battling cancer. A somber Ryan O'Neal, Redmond's father, gave reporters an update on Farrah's health. "She's fighting, she's a fighter," Ryan told shutterbugs. "Her spirit's good."
O'Neal went on to describe how his son's visit with Fawcett lifted her spirits. "It was perfect," Ryan said. The 24-year-old son of Fawcett and O'Neal will face a judge tomorrow to determine his sentencing.
"Extra" has learned that another is in the works for Farrah as NBC is filming interviews for an upcoming documentary with Fawcett, O'Neal and her "Charlie's Angels" co-stars.
