Patrick Swayze Battling Pancreatic Cancer
Beloved "Dirty Dancing" star Patrick Swayze is battling cancer. His reps have confirmed the heartbreaking news that he's undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer, but contrary to reports, he doesn't have just weeks to live. "Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far," his physician announced through his reps today. "All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic." In fact, Patrick, 55, will continue working on his upcoming projects.
His reps added, "The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family."
In a report that reverberated across the Internet today, The National Enquirer claimed that Patrick had only five weeks to live and that his wife, Lisa, had been flying him to Stanford's famed Cancer Center in an attempt to save his life.
