Report: Amber Heard Files Domestic Violence Restraining Order Against Johnny Depp
UPDATE: New details about the alleged abuse have emerged. According to TMZ, Amber claims that Johnny smashed her face with an iPhone on Saturday night. Afterward, Depp reportedly began smashing items in the home. Heard was on the phone with a friend, and asked the person to call the police. When the LAPD arrived, the actor was gone, and Amber decided not to file a police report. Sources in Johnny's camp don't believe Amber, telling TMZ she is "an affront to real victims of domestic violence."
Amber Heard has accused Johnny Depp of domestic violence and is asking a judge for a restraining order, reports People.
Heard appeared in court on Friday and submitted a photo of herself as evidence. In the photo, she appears to have bruising around her right eye.
She has asked for a temporary restraining order to help protect her from further abuse. Johnny is currently out of the country.
So far, neither Depp's nor Heard's reps have commented on the claims.
Heard filed for divorce on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences. She requested spousal support, but Depp has asked the judge to deny the request.
Depp's rep did release a statement to EOnline.com on Thursday, saying, "Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."
