Does Gabrielle Union’s Husband Watch Her Sexy Scenes in ‘Being Mary Jane’?

Gabrielle Union joined “Extra's” AJ Calloway at our H&M studios in Times Square, where she talked about the new season of the hit BET show “Being Mary Jane” and life with her husband, NBA superstar Dwyane Wade.

In “Being Mary Jane,” Union plays Mary Jane Paul, a wildly successful TV reporter who is searching for love in all the wrong places. Union explained, “There's three love interests for Mary Jane this season, so there's a lot of action, a lot of sex.”

Does hubby Dwyane watch the show with her? The actress smiled, “Not often… luckily, he too looks amazing without his shirt. He's not a bad-looking person, so he's not short on self-esteem, nor is he jealous.”

The one show the couple does watch is “Scandal.” “Well, I watch the whole Thursday night lineup, but he joins me at 9PM. I start with 'Grey's Anatomy,' and he comes in for 'Scandal' and 'How to Get Away with Murder.'”

Union also revealed another ABC hit Wade is into. “He's also obsessed with 'Nashville.' Deacon Claybourne is like his hero. Some think it's Michael Jordan… no it's Deacon Claybourne from 'Nashville.' I started making him listen to country music years ago and now he really appreciates it.”

Another thing Wade appreciates? Shoes! Gabrielle laughed, “He's Imelda Marcos. He has so many shoes, he built a room just for his tennis shoes. It's a show vault with special shelving, lighting, like if you came to visit you're going to have to stay in a hotel because that extra guest room is a shoe show vault.”
