Tallulah Willis Opens Up About Why She Checked Into Rehab
Tallulah Willis, youngest daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, admits she once thought she was a “hideous, disgusting-looking person.”
In an article she wrote for the February issue of Teen Vogue (via People.com), the 20-year-old described how she hated herself for many years.
She explained, "A switch flipped. I was in a New York hotel room when I was 13… looking at a photo of myself online. I broke down in tears as I started to read the comments. I thought, I am a hideous, disgusting-looking person. I might be nice and I might be kind, but I'm a really unattractive human being. I became my own worst critic."
Tallulah went on to say the depression deepened in college to where “the world lost its color and food lost its taste."
She recently spent 45 days in treatment for an eating disorder after her older sister, Scout, 23, "forced me to see what I was doing. I knew I needed to go take care of myself."
Now, Tallulah said, "I can say that I'm getting to that place where I'm starting to feel okay with myself, bit by bit.”
