Melanie Griffith: It Will Be ‘Too Awkward’ to See Daughter in ‘50 Shades of Grey’
"Extra's" Mario Lopez caught up with actress Melanie Griffith at the Eva Longoria Foundation ALMA awards, where the actress opened up about daughter Dakota Johnson starring in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of "50 Shades of Grey.”
Griffith said she and ex-husband Don Johnson will probably not see their daughter's steamy movie. Melanie explained, “It would just be too awkward. I think [Dakota] would be mortified if we came to see her movie. She said, 'You can see up 'til I lose my virginity and that's it.'”
As for Dakota following her mom's famous footsteps, Griffith laughed, “She hated school. Around 11th grade, she was like, 'I'm going to be an actress. I'm going to be really big. I'm going to be bigger than you,' and she is… there is no lack of confidence with Dakota.”
Griffith also opened up on how she's doing since her separation from husband Antonio Banderas after 18 years of marriage. Melanie said, “I'm just kind of laying low.”
What kind of man would she like to meet? Melanie replied, “I think I'd like to meet a cowboy, like a real man… somebody who's a man and who's not concerned with this town.”
Melanie also complimented Mario on his salmon recipe and talked about her love of cooking and dancing. Watch!
