The Salahis Backpedal on 'View' Story
Michaele Salahi and her husband didn't make Thursday's official premiere party for "The Real Housewives of D.C.," but "Extra" caught up with them at a private party, and asked about what really happened in the heated feud with Whoopi Goldberg on "The View."
Tariq Salahi told "Extra," "It was a misunderstanding." Michaele adding, "I think it was tougher even off stage. I'm just not used to someone saying f-everything."
Goldberg said Tareq got in her face and started taking pictures, which he confirmed, saying "They're with legal counsel." But the couple are now saying they are not going to sue. "We're happy to move forward."
Michaele also defended her thin frame, claiming she is not anorexic. "I'm very healthy. And I think there's beauty in all shapes and sizes," she explained. "Everyone is different. There are bigger things going on in the world than my weight."
The other "Real Housewives" didn't miss the Salahis at the official party. Lynda Erkiletian told "Extra," "She used all our pictures, called it the official site, put it up on every Facebook page. And I was like, you must be kidding. I called legal and said, 'Can you get my face off of her page?'"
The other "Housewives" made it clear they thought the drama on "The View," in which the Salahis felt they were harassed by Goldberg, is all in the D.C.'s couples' head.
"I'm soo tired of talking about them," said "Housewife" Mary Schmidt Amons. "It's not my place to judge. All I know is that the accusations coming forward from the Salahi camp are completely false. It was on camera, a 200-person audience -- Whoopi was just trying to encourage her to get back on task to the question, just get back to the question and answer the question."
It looks like the new season of "The Real Houswives of D.C." could be a wild ride!
