The engagement and whirlwind romance between superstar singer Ariana Grande and "SNL" cast member Pete Davidson are off.

TMZ reports that sources close to the couple have confirmed they split up this weekend because the timing of their relationship was "simply not" right.

Just a day before the split, Grande showed her support for Davidson at "SNL," where they were spotted packing on the PDA. A source claims that their love fest was just the couple trying to make their relationship work, adding that they were just going through the motions.

Engaged since June — weeks after meeting — the couple is reportedly on good terms and they still "have love for each other."

Fans had suspected something was amiss when Ariana posted her frustration with her fishbowl existence on social media, writing, "can i pls have one okay day. just one. pls."

Grande had previously defended her lightning-fast decision to marry Davidson, declaring, "Love is lit."
