Heartbreaking: Sarah Hyland’s 14-Year-Old Cousin Killed

Over the weekend, Sarah Hyland faced a family tragedy.
Hyland took to Instagram to reveal the heartbreaking news that her cousin Trevor Canaday died in a drunk driving accident.
Along with a screenshot of his GoFundMe page, she wrote on her Instagram Story, “this is my 14 year old cousin Trevor. Yesterday, he was killed by a drunk driver. My uncle is still in the hospital in need of more surgeries."
According to the GoFundMe page, Trevor and his dad were on their way to a show choir event when they were involved “in a serious car accident due to a drunk driver.” While his dad is on his way to recovering, Trevor “has gained his wings and is singing and playing some crazy football in heaven.”
Trevor was described as “a funny, smart, innovative, athletic, goofy kid and he was so loved.”
The GoFundMe page was set up to raise money for funeral and hospital expenses.
Sarah's co-star Ariel Winter posted the same screenshot and encouraged people to donate, adding, “This is absolutely devastating…”
