Camila Cabello Dishes on Her Happy Life

Camila Cabello is killing it!

On Tuesday, “Extra's” Renee Bargh spoke to Cabello as she belted out her smash hits “Never Be the Same” and “Havana” at the launch of makeup collection, also called Havana, with L'Oréal Paris.

Of her summer, Camila shared, “My summer's been great. I'm on tour right now, opening for Taylor Swift, and I'm doing my own Never Be the Same tour in the middle as well.”

What's her highlight of the summer so far? She answered, “Just being on the tour with two really great girls like Taylor and Charli XCX.”

As for why she is the happiest she's ever been at the moment, Cabello explained, “Well, I think that I'm just surrounded by really great people and just having a lot of fun and I feel like I just have a lot of control over my life right now... which is really nice. She enjoys having "control over my career and what I do and, like, where my time is spent... I'm really lucky that I have that at my age."

The 21-year-old has five nominations at next month's MTV Video Music Awards, which she is super excited about! She admitted, “Oh, my gosh… I just remember, like, watching it when I was little.”

Of the monumental success of her breakout single “Havana,” Camila said, “I really liked that song so you just, you just can never know that... You can't lose if you like the song you can lose if somebody else liked it and then it didn't work and then you didn't even like it, you know?”

“Havana” also had an influence on her new makeup collection. She dished, “This collection is inspired by Havana and Miami and how people just kind of are in Miami. People don't wear, like, super heavy makeup cause it'll just melt off your face. It's just kind of like a natural vibe.”

Camila also emphasized that feeling beautiful comes from within, saying, "I feel like it's just about if you want to wear no makeup, that's great, and if you want to wear a little, that's great, and if you want to wear a lot, that's great. It's just about whatever you feel is true for you.”
