Forgive and Forget? Beyoncé Thanks Jay Z on First Night of ‘Formation’ World Tour
Despite the recent scrutiny about her relationship with husband Jay Z, Beyoncé has nothing but love for him.
On Wednesday, Beyoncé kicked off her Formation tour in Miami, where she took a moment to thank Jay Z. Before performing her hit song, “Halo,” she told the crowd, "I want to dedicate this song to my family Thank you, guys, for supporting me. I want to dedicate this song to my beautiful husband — I love you so much.”
Though the couple has not commented on the controversial lyrics found on her new album “Lemonade,” Beyoncé's dedication to Jay Z seem to indicate that they are doing just fine. A source recently told People, "They definitely went through a rough patch a couple years ago, but they came out stronger in the end."
Jay Z did not perform with Beyoncé on their songs “Crazy in Love” and “Drunk in Love,” but he was in the audience cheering her on while she sang. Her set list included the songs “Sorry,” “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),” and “Naughty Girl.”
During the show, Beyoncé shared a sweet story about their daughter Blue Ivy, saying, "We were driving to rehearsal today and she said, 'Mommy, are we going to your work?' And it reminded me that I dreamed of this day my whole life.” Check out an adorable pic of Beyoncé and Blue Ivy before the show.
