Dog the Bounty Hunter on Beth Chapman’s Cancer Battle: ‘I Cry All the Time’
Dog the Bounty Hunter is doing his best to stay strong as his wife Beth Chapman fights cancer.
In the new issue of In Touch, Dog said, “I have to keep faith, I am the leader of the family. She thinks she is, but I am. I have to keep it where I don't have any doubts and keep everything positive. I love my honey so much, I don't know what I'm gonna do.”
Though her “incurable” cancer has returned, he emphasized that she'll fight “every step of the way.”
While he is praying for her, he admitted, “I cry all the time. I think I'm in a bad dream and I need to wake up. People keep saying to me, 'Dog, are you okay?' But I'm not the one who's sick. I am going to be right here with her.”
In another interview with Us Weekly, Dog revealed that Beth is already planning her own funeral. He said, "She's like, 'Here's the casket I want, and here's the flowers.' I said, 'Beth, don't say that.' And she said, 'What? You don't want me planning my funeral? Well, I'm going to.' And she'll say, 'You have to face the facts.' But I don't want to.”
In late November, Beth was rushed to the hospital after developing a blockage in her throat. He revealed, “Half of her lung was full of water.”
Against her doctor's advice, the two have returned home to Colorado. While it was recommended that she undergo chemotherapy sessions in Los Angeles, they are exploring other options.
