'The Bachelorette' Finale: Desiree Hartsock Engaged to Chris Siegfried!
After facing rejection when Brooks Forester left last week, "Bachelorette" Desiree Hartsock moved on, handing out her final rose to baseball player turned mortgage broker Chris Siegfried.
Before making her decision, Desiree explained to Chris and runner-up Drew Kenney, "[Brooks' leaving] turned my world upside down," but that she would continue in the show.
Hartsock then told Kenney he was not the one for her. "I'm so lucky to have you in my life, but I don't know if I see our futures together."
As the 2-hour season finale came to a close, Siegfried dropped to one knee, telling Desiree, "I want to be your first, and I want to be your last… will you marry me?"
Hartsock finally found her happy ending, saying, "You have been by my side from the very beginning... you mean the absolute world to me. Chris, I love you. I love you so much. I want nothing but to spend the rest of my life with you."
According to Wetpaint.com, after 17 seasons of "The Bachelor" and eight seasons of "The Bachelorette" — four of 24 “official” couples are still together.
