Blake Lively Reveals Why She Married Ryan Reynolds

Actress Blake Lively is dazzling on the cover of Marie Claire's July 2016 issue, where she opens up on her relationship with husband Ryan Reynolds and their family life.

Back in September 2012, Lively and Reynolds tied the knot in a private ceremony in front of their close friends and family. As for why she said “I do” to her “Green Latern” co-star, she revealed, "I knew he would always be my best friend for my whole life. That was the biggest thing to me. I'd never known anything like the friendship that I had with him. I could like him as much as I loved him.”

After the wedding, they enjoyed life as a married couple before welcoming their daughter James in December 2014. In April, it was revealed that Blake was expecting her second child with Ryan. Ironically, because the Hollywood couple has kept their personal lives as private as possible, every little thing they do will grab headlines. Of the media frenzy, Blake commented, “I'd rather not have to deal with it at all, but we knew the lifestyle we were getting into, and while it's hard… it's another thing when it's our child. She didn't have the opportunity to make a decision about what she wants.”

Blake may be lighting up the big screen, but her family is her number-one priority in life. She shared, “That's where my heart is. That's where my everything is.”
