‘Real Housewives’ Cosmetic Confessions, Plus Banish Batwings Without Serious Surgery Scars
Nipped, tucked, lifted, boosted and Botoxed! The “Real Housewives” weren't shy about confessing what procedures they've had done, but the reality TV stars still had some plastic surgery questions for our experts.
“Extra” went straight to plastic surgeon Dr. Leif Rogers and Aesthetic Registered Nurse Rand Rusher to find out the answers, including how to get rid of bat wings (AKA flabby triceps) without leaving a huge scar.
There is a plastic surgery procedure that can tighten up your arms, but surgery can sometimes leave a very noticeable red, thick scar that runs from the armpit to the elbow.
Our experts said there are some treatments for scars, like creams. The newest product is called Embrace, a silicone strip that can promote healing and minimize scars after surgery.
The strip is placed in such a way that the little bit of tension when putting it on actually holds the skin together. The main reason for bad scarring is the skin is trying to pull apart, but your body is trying to keep it together. When using the Embrace strip properly, your scar can heal very thin and be less noticeable.
