Madonna Sets the Record Straight on New Adoption Rumors

Singer Madonna is clearing up rumors that she is in the process of adopting more children.
After rumors swirled that she was adopting two more kids from Malawi, she told “Extra” in a statement on Wednesday, "I am in Malawi to check on the children's hospital in Blantyre and my other work with Raising Malawi and then heading home. The rumors of an adoption process are untrue.”
Earlier in the day, Malawi government spokesman Mlenga Mvula reportedly told the AP that Madonna was awaiting the court's decision on a new adoption application.
Of her four children, two of them were adopted from Malawi — David and Mercy. She adopted David in 2006 and Mercy in 2009.
